Our linemen are continuing their work to restore power to the roughly 400 members still without service. Current outages are primarily located in Webster and Greene counties, which were particularly hard hit.
Crews plan to work into the night in an attempt to bring everyone back on as quickly as they safely can.
Should the weather or road conditions deteriorate and working conditions become unsafe, crews may be recalled until daybreak.

Today's storm, with its high winds and localized heavy snowfall, has the potential to cause widespread outages. This is especially true in Webster, Humboldt, Kossuth, Pocahontas, and Calhoun counties, where the heaviest snowfall is expected.
Our crews are on standby to restore power as quickly as they safely can. However, given the conditions, members should be prepared for extended restoration times.
Remember, if you encounter a downed power line, stay away and warn others to stay away. Always assume the line is energized and immediately call 911 and the co-op at (800) 833-8876. Never touch, approach, or attempt to reenergize cooperative equipment. The results can be fatal for you or one of our linemen.
If you experience an outage, please report it by calling (800) 833-8876. Our phones are answered 24/7. You can also report an outage using the SmartHub app.
