Membership Application Information
To receive electric service from Midland Power Cooperative, you must first become a member. If you are currently a member, please request additional services through SmartHub or by calling our office Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm at 800-833-8876.
Midland Power Cooperative provides electricity to portions of 17 counties in IOWA. If you need to review the electric provider for a certain location, county maps of electric providers are available at https://iowadot.gov/maps/digital-maps/electrical/electrical.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP:
If you are married, please include information for both spouses on the membership application.
If you have a roommate please include your roommate's information on the membership application.
Including spouse or roommate information in the joint applicant section of the application ensures that all parties have access to account information (receiving answers to questions as simple as the amount due on the account) and that their name is included on future patronage dividend payment disbursements.
As part of the Federal Government’s Red Flags Rule and our cooperative’s practices, we use the information provided by you (including Social Security Number) to verify applicant identities and determine whether a security deposit on an electric account is necessary.

Fill out the appropriate membership using the links below. Once the membership form is filled out, one of our Staking Technicians will be contacting you to schedule a time to meet with you and discuss your project 1-3 business days after the form is submitted.
