On August 14th, a group of Midland Power Cooperative employees spent a day volunteering at Hardin County Conservation's Calkins Nature Area, making improvements to the center's Native American and natural history museum and clearing out invasive honeysuckle along the property's prairie-forest interface. Staff also had a chance to meet the center's resident skunk, Flora.
