Midland seeks members interested in running for board seat

Midland Power Cooperative is actively seeking co-op members interested in running for the board of directors.

Each year, one director is elected from each of the cooperative’s four districts to serve a three-year term. This year’s election will take place in June, with the winning candidates announced during the co-op's annual meeting on June 26, 2025.

All Midland Power members are entitled to one vote per membership and mail-in ballots will be sent out in early June.

As a member-owned electric cooperative, Midland Power's members elect not only board directors, but a separate, independent nominating committee. Those members are charged with identifying and recruiting candidates to run for the board, as well as the subsequent year's nominating committee. This year's nominating committee will meet February 11, 2025, to begin the process of identifying interested candidates.

If you or a member you know is interested in learning more about the nominating process, verifying your board district and eligibility, or learning about the role and responsibilities of serving on the board or nominating committee, please contact the office at (515) 709-3901 or reach out to one of your district's nominating committee members listed below.
