Being an electric cooperative member comes with benefits — $1.1 million worth! Midland Power’s board of directors has approved distributing $1.1 million in patronage capital to current and former members of the cooperative.
Current members who purchased electricity from Midland in 2009, 2010, or 2024 will receive their patronage retirement as a bill credit in December, unless they’re owed $500 or more, in which case they will be mailed a check in late November.
Former members — those who no longer receive service from the co-op — will also get a check if the amount owed to them is $20 or more, and if a current address is on file.
