Turning heartbreak into hope
Nominee: Haley Admire • Nominator: Kirsten Radke
Organization: No Foot Too Small • Website: NoFootTooSmall.org

Each year, Touchstone Energy Cooperatives of Iowa highlights outstanding volunteers across the state through their Shine the Light contest. In 2025, Midland Power Cooperative members nominated eight individuals whose service strengthens communities across our service areas. We are proud to recognize each of these nominees with a $625 donation to their respective organizations. We appreciate the partnership of our wholesale power providers — Central Iowa Power Cooperative and Corn Belt Power Cooperative — for helping make this support possible.
Haley Admire — Midland’s fourth Shine the Light nominee — is recognized for her compassionate volunteer service with No Foot Too Small, an organization that supports families who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss. Admire’s involvement began in 2019 following the loss of her infant son, Matthew, when she found comfort and connection through the organization.
Inspired by the support she received, she chose to give back by helping others navigate similar grief.
For the past four years, Admire has served as an angel ambassador, leading both virtual and in-person support groups for grieving mothers. In addition to facilitating these groups, she volunteers at nearly every major No Foot Too Small event, including Angels in the Outfield, statewide golf tournaments, and the organization’s annual gala, offering her time and encouragement wherever needed.
The donation made in Haley's honor will go to support Blooms + Butterflies, a Des Moines–area event that brings together families affected by pregnancy or infant loss for remembrance, healing, and community.
With her ongoing service, Haley has transformed personal loss into a source of hope for others, demonstrating the lasting impact of volunteerism and compassionate leadership, and proving that even in the darkest places, light can shine through.
