To receive electric service from the co-op, you must first become a member.

Wondering who provides electric service to your address?

Midland Power Cooperative provides electricity to portions of 17 counties in Iowa. An interactive map of Iowa's electric providers by location are available at this link.

What to know about applying for membership:

If you are married: include information for both spouses on the membership application.*
If you have a roommate: include your roommate's information on the membership application.*
If you are a business: you will need to provide your Federal ID number and an authorized contact & voting representative's name.

*Including spouse or roommate information in the joint applicant section of the application ensures that all parties have access to account information (such as the amount due on an account) and that their name is included on future patronage dividend payment disbursements.

Deposit: As part of the Federal Government’s Red Flags Rule and our cooperative’s practices, we use the information provided by you (including Social Security Number) to verify applicant identities and determine whether a security deposit on an electric account is necessary.
